8 x 4 hours Friday evening (5.30pm to 9.30pm) Online
8 x 7 hours and 15 minutes Saturday (9.00am – 4.15pm) In Class
Venue: Online (Friday) and in person (Saturday) at Fife Voluntary Action, Glenrothes
Fees:
£800 (plus £182 non-refundable fee to awarding body qualification.

Course Summary
– Those starting the first level of training as a professional counsellor
– Those who want to learn counselling skills in other helping roles
– Those seeking development of their interpersonal skills. This qualification could lead to employment or increase employability for those whose role is to support others in e.g. health and social care work, teaching and learning, advocacy and mediation, support and project work, other helping roles. It provides additional skills for those already in employment likely to lead to increased opportunities for promotion and advancement.

Emma Nichols
Lead TutorMy name is Emma Nichols, I am a Person-Centred Counsellor. I am trained to work with adults and young people and spent 2 years previously working as a Schools Counsellor. I am also a teacher and have over 10 years’ experience teaching Psychology in schools and colleges, both in England and Scotland.
I am currently undertaking Supervision training and additional training focusing on creativity in the counselling room and am looking forward to bringing these skills into the therapeutic space and into training. I have a passion for education and learning, and for equipping people with the skills they need to be able to become the best counsellors they can be.
